In our Hollywood Animal Workshop, you will learn what you need to know to break into show biz with your animal!

On Friday and Saturday, we teach the skills needed for humans and animals to be successful on set - 

  • Learn what type of animals work and why

  • Skills needed for video and still shoots

  • Create a training plan to prepare your animal for set work

  • How to translate your animal's current training to on-set skills

  • Join us behind the scenes - analyzing actual set footage to guide your training plan - we'll map the path to the published product

  • Breakout sessions to work on your animals individual skills

  • Headshot session for photos and experience

On Sunday, Script to Screen will take you from the casting call to submitting your animal for the shoot. Graduation will be the audition video you submit to get "booked" and receive feedback on.

  • How to analyze scripts, casting calls, and storyboards

  • Create and implement a training plan for new behaviors

  • How to set up and film your audition videos, and edit for the client Training skills you identify in script analysis

  • Performing and filming script actions

  • Tips for filming-"seeing the scene"

  • Technology - how it works and how to submit to catch the client's attention

What is the difference in working vs. audit?

Working spots may bring animals and participate in the training exercises, as well as get professional headshots of their animals and gain access to the secret casting call group. Audit spots may ask questions, observe training, and take notes.

Can I bring more than one animal?

Yes! You may bring more than one animal. The price of the workshop is the same if you bring multiple animals. You will choose which animal to work during training portions.

How long is the workshop?

The workshop is from 10AM to 6PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are plenty of potty breaks for the humans and animals!

How do I register?

Please fill out the registration form below. You will receive a Square invoice via email after your registration is received.

What should I bring?

Bring a crate, crate cover, clicker, lots of very small treats--both high value and low/medium value. Collar and leash (no flexi leashes please!). Any props if your animal does tricks with props.

What is parking like?

There is plenty of parking on site. We do not have RV hookups.

You will be notified by email if you get a spot or are placed on the waiting list. Confirmations will be sent out once we receive a completed registration form along with payment in

full. To secure a spot, payment must be made in full prior to the date of the workshop. We will maintain a wait list up until the day before the seminar. You must pre-register. Walk-ins are not permitted.


Facility: Bring your own chairs and crates – cat and bird crates should be big enough for a litter box or perch – this would be the same setup you’d use to transport them to set. You must bring a mat or floor cover to go underneath your grooming table, crate, and chair to help protect our mats. Chairs will be available or bring your own. Please use

designated potty areas and clean up after your animal, inside and outside.

Food: we will provide light breakfast, water, and lunch. Menu will be emailed a few days before the workshop so you can select your choice of sandwich or salad. We will break

for one hour for lunch, which will be served on site. For animals, please bring a selection of different, very small, high value treats.

Parking: Parking is available on site at no cost.

Videotaping: Only limited videotaping will be permitted. You may also tape your own session ONLY, with your own equipment (but not lecture portions or other peoples’ working

sessions, without their permission).


WAIVER, RELEASE, INDEMNITY, HOLD HARMLESS. In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Activities and for all benefits associated therewith, Client hereby

releases and discharges any and all present and future claims, demands, causes of action, or other proceedings against the Trainer, including any of Trainer's members officers,

agents, employees, independent contractors, or other persons that Trainer has authorized to provide services on the Trainer's premises (hereinafter referred to collectively as the

“Released Parties”) for any injury, death, or damage to or loss of personal property arising out of or in connection with participation in the Activities, from any cause whatsoever,

whether known or unknown, accrued or unaccrued. Further, Client agrees to DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, and HOLD HARMLESS, all Released Parties from and against any claim,

proceeding, cause of action, judgment, penalty, or any other cost or expense, including, but not limited to, attorneys’ fees and expenses incurred in enforcing this provision, arising

from, growing out of, associated with, or in connection with, directly or indirectly, any of the following: (a) the Activities; (b) the Client's dog(s); (c) the Released Parties’ dog(s); d)

any other person, dog or animal; (e) Trainer’s facilities; and/or (f) any negligence, wrongful conduct, or failure to follow the instructions of Trainer and/or any rules referenced

by this Agreement by any person participating in the Activities. Further, the parties expressly agree that Client's obligation to indemnify the Released Parties is intended to

indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties for any of the Released Parties’ own liability for gross negligence and strict liability, whether or not that liability or negligence

is the sole or contributing cause for the assertion of any and all claims, demands, causes of action, and/or other proceedings.
